Related Training Classes

In addition to on-the-job training, related training classes are held throughout the year. Attendance at class is mandatory. Under the guidance of an instructor, apprentices will receive training in the following areas:

  • History of the Cement Industry
  • Labor and Management Relations
  • Forming
  • Hand and Power Tools
  • Equipment
  • Small Engines
  • Basic Math, Measuring and Estimating
  • Builders Level, Laser Beam and Transit
  • Concrete Ingredients, Mixes and Admixtures
  • Placing and Leveling Concrete
  • Blueprints: Reading and Interpreting
  • Patching and Sacking
  • Epoxy, Epoxy Injection and Materials
